Flat black Rolls Royce Phantom

If the Rolls Royce Phantom just isnt flashy enough for you than maybe you should consider the flat black Phantom. This flat black Rolls Royce Phantom is the new project of MANSORY and as you can see, it might not be everyone’s cup of tea but it definatly stands out from the crowd (as if the Phantom didnt already stand out enough)!First off you wil notice the flat black laquer paint job and the much softer chrome exterior accents. The interior has carbon fiber and bright maple wood inlays and an implemented ambiance-light-effects that give the Phantom an amazing glow. The interior also features an alcantara roof lining, alcantara dashboard and a sport steering wheel. In the back there there are new electrical business tables with seat integrated multimedia monitors and perhaps best of all is the suspended particle device glass which allows the passangers to continuously regulate the transparency (opacity) with a remote control (similar to what you find in the Maybach)!

Performance upgrades include a boost in horsepower and an increase in torque to 575 lb-ft @ 3920 rpm. The top speed is also increased to 168 mph. In addition they outfitted the Mansory Phantom with black forged 24inch wheels and huge 6 piston Brembo brakes.

What’s faster than a Mercedes SLR? How about an SLK with an SLR motor! Dubai car collector Mohammed Ben Sulayem commissioned this project which crams a Mercedes SLR engine into the smallest Mercedes sports car they make. Besides the fact that they had to cut away part of the SLK’s hood, the car looks like a completely stock SLK AMG 55 but the result is a crazy fast SLK-SLR that is capable of dusting a Ferrari Enzo! Even cooler is that they did the same thing with a Mercedes E-class. The E-class pictured below also has an SLR motor installed. Talk about the ultimate “sleeper!” Maybe next they’ll put an SLR motor in a new Mercedes S65 AMG just so they can shave off a few pounds and get another 10 or 20 horsepower

If your 50cc pocket bike isn’t giving you that adrenaline rush you crave than consider this modest upgrade: It’s the MTT Turbine Super bike also know as the Y2K. Weighing in at about 500 lb, this jet powered motorcycle uses a Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine engine to create over 320HP and 425 ft. lb. of torque, making it the most powerful (and most expensive) production motorcycle ever! So what does all that power equate to? Well if you can hang onto the handle bars long enough it will sling you from 0 to 217mph in 14 seconds and top out at around 250mph

The Y2K superbike may not be practical and I can only imagine that this jet powered super bike has some handling issues, considering the fact that you are sitting on a jet engine that spins at 56,000rpm. But… Anyone who is going to spend $185,000 on a bike isn’t exactly looking for practicality. Jay Leno who was one of the first owners of a MTT jet powered superbike and in the video below you can hear the crazy sound this motorcycle makes and see it in action!

The Austin Martin has always been one of the sexiest looking supercars on the road (IMO) and just when I thought it couldn’t look any better they decide to roll out the Austin Martin Vanquish S Ultimate Edition. The Vanquish S Ultimate Edition will be built to commemorate the last forty cars to roll off the production line. The Vanquish S Ultimate Edition centers on changes to the Vanquish S’s interior and exterior color and trim. The Vanquish S Ultimate edition will be painted “ultimate black” (a new color specifically created for the Ultimate Edition). On the inside, the all black cabin will be trimmed in a semi-aniline leather with coarse stitching and darkened chrome finish interior fittings. Each one will have a personalised sill plaque that will display its limited edition number. The Vanquish S Ultimate Edition will only be available with the 2+2 seating arrangement and the Ultimate Edition will come with no additional charge!

The Vanquish S Ultimate Edition will not include any performance upgrades over the standard Vanquish S (but as long as your the best looking you don’t need to be the fastest). When it comes to performance the Vanquish S may not be able to hang with the bigboys in the supercar lineup but it is still a “pretty” mean machine (check out the video below)! The Vanquish S has a V12 powerplant that pumps out about 525 horsepower and

I took some shots of my friends Audi S4 earlier today and messed around with them on Photoshop. Just thought I would share a few of the pics. For those of you who don’t know much about the Audi S4, it really is a fun car to drive! The B5 Audi S4 (which was built between 1997 and 2002) is an all wheel drive 2.7 liter twin Turbo V6 sedan that is capable of pushing 350hp (to the wheels) with just a few bolt-ons (intake, exhaust, ECU…). Even now, 10 years after the S4 was first introduced they are still coming out with upgraded turbo kits capable of pushing the S4 to 630 wheel horsepower! The S4 also handles very well and I have had the pleasure of driving one or two through the back roads! Needless to say, the S4 has developed a huge enthusiast community and it’s rare to see an S4 that isn’t modified in some way. It might not have the lines of a supercar but it’s a great choice for those looking for a practical and sophisticated sedan that has all the comforts of a luxury sedan plus the perform of a sportscar!

Bugatti will soon be releasing a “Bugatti Veyron roadster”. Besides the new roof design, not much will change with the Bugatti roadster. You will still be able to cruise down the Pacific Coast highway at 252 mph… but now you can work on your tan at the same time! The design of the roof is not yet finalized and it is unsure if it will feature a glass targa type roof or a removable hardtop. The Bugatti roadster will still be powered by a quad turbo W16 engine that makes 1,000 horsepower (basically 2 twin turbo V8 engines smashed together) and it will most likely be otherwise identical to the 2008 Bugatti Veyron with all the same specs. And yes it will still cost $1,000,000+ dollars.

Armet Armored Vehicles Inc. is the company resposible for building the “Gurkha.” That’s right, it’s called the “Gurkha” and its a fully armored 19,000 lb ballistic SUV that has a top speed of 93mph and puts the Hummer H1 to shame. The Gurkha looks and acts like a tank. It is outfitted with: ballistic glass windows that can stop bullets from an AK-47, and high strength ballistic aluminum armor to protect you from roadside bombs (not to mention it will make you the center of attention when you pull up at the valet). The Gurkha will set you back about $200,000 but hey… you can’t put a price on your safety right?

The over-the-top Gurkha is likely to find a niche among celebrities who need that bling factor. In fact, the first civilian delivery is for a “well-known personality” in California and it will take place very soon. (Not sure but my guess is that the Gurkha will be added to Jay Leno’s car collection). However, believe it or not, the Gurkha isn’t just built to protect wrappers and celebs from their crazy fans. The Gurkha armored vehicle will also

Jay Leno recently unveiled his secret project at the SEMA auto show. All we know about this super car so far is that it’s built on a Corvette Chassis and powered by a Honeywell LT-101 turbine engine. This green supercar has been named “Ecojet” by Jay Leno. I doubt that Jay’s supercar will ever go into production but it sure looks sleak! I’ll update this post as soon as I have more info!

When I hear the word “Porsche” I think small, sporty, and impractical, but very fun and very fast. However, after the Cayenne SUV and now the Porsche Panamera it looks like those “small” and “impractical” notions are changing. The new 4 door Porsche Panamera will be fierce competition for the Maserati Quattroporte the Aston Martin Rapide and CLS55 AMG. The Porsche Panamera is going to be a front-engine, rear-wheel drive, four-seater and will look similar to the spy shot below).

Pure and simple… but simply insane! The Ariel Atom is a true enthusiast’s racecar. Ariel is designed by Ariel Motor Company of Great Britain and although it only costs between $40,000 and $75,000 it will give you the performance you would expect from a $1,000,000 super exotic sports car. So… if you are a true racing enthusiast and you don’t have $1,000,000 to blo on a supercar but you can afford more than a 250cc shifter cart than you might look into getting an Ariel Atom.

No AC, no stereo, no leather seats, and best of all, no unnecessary weight! In fact, the Ariel Atom has a power to weight ratio that rivals most super cars. Take for example the McLaren F1 supercar that has a power to weight ratio of 4.01 to 1, the Bugatti Veyron which has a power to weight ratio or 4.35 to 1, and the Ferrari Enzo which has a power to weight ratio of .56 to 1. Compare that to the Arial atom which has a power to weight ratio of 4.10 to 1! This beautifully simple (and affordable yet rare) racecar is capable of 0-60mph in 2.8 seconds (that’s 1 full second faster than the Porsche Carrera GT, and .7 seconds faster than the Ferrari Enzo! So… we know its fast, but how does it handle? Well, in one word “perfectly.” In fact if you watch the video below you will see just how amazing the Ariel Atom handles on the racetrack. In fact, even when matched up against a street bike the Ariel Atom posts better lap times.Perhaps my favorite thing about the Ariel Atom is that you can buy it as a kit car for under $40,000, build it yourself and even make it street legal! Better yet the Ariel is powered by a reliable and fuel efficient supercharged Civic Type R motor
